Steven M. Barto Joins Vocollect as Chief Financial Officer
PITTSBURGH (21 October 2010) – Vocollect, Inc., the world leader in voice-centric solutions for mobile workers, today announced the appointment of Steven M. Barto to the position of chief financial officer with the company.
Barto comes to Vocollect from BPL Global, Ltd., a smart grid technology company dedicated to leading the transformation of energy efficiency and reliability, where he served for four years as chief financial officer. In this capacity, he helped to define and execute the company’s business model, to expand international operations and to provide oversight to build the company from pre-revenue stage to a high growth
technology leader. His career spans 25 years of progressive levels of responsibility in executive financial positions, including vice president, finance and business operations with Ericsson Inc. Data Networks, chief financial officer with Marconi Communications North America and vice president, controller with RELTEC Corporation. The first 10 years of his career were with Price Waterhouse, where he last served as a senior
manager.
